Happy Fall, y'all!

Yesterday was the first day of Fall and I'm super excited. Here in Pennsylvania, we've been experiencing the wonderful fall weather since last week and now it's official. It's a nice cool steady 70 something degrees with cool nights. What mommy likes about this time is that the humans can either wear a T-shirt and shorts or sweatshirt and jeans and be comfortable either way.

Hopefully the summer weather is gone until next year and we can continue to enjoy these cooler, rainless days. Mommy even bought some mums to brighten up the house as well as decorated inside for HOWL-o-ween!

I can't wait to see the beautiful fall foliage begin to turn and go to the pumpkin patch to pick out my pumpkin.

I'm a contestant in a Pet Beauty Pageant!

Mommy told me the other day that she entered me in our town's first Pet Beauty Pageant! Pets of all kinds are encouraged to enter and strut their stuff. There will be the Pet Pageant along with food vendors and a Chinese Auction. Each contestant must also pay at $10.00 donation fee along with bringing an item needed by the local county animals shelters.

The best part of the whole event is that ALL the proceeds benefit our local cat and dog shelters so it’s a win-win for animals. Mommy is also donating a basket for the Chinese auction. It’s a pet trick or treat themed-basket!

As far as what I’m going to wear, mommy and I are looking and may have found a great outfit. I’ve been practicing my strut and poses too! I can’t wait and I’m excited to share the day with my friends too!

**Today is my Birthday**

That's right! I'm the Big 2 today and what a wonderful day it is! I'm all dressed in my birthday gear ready for a big celebration! This year won't be as big a pawty as last year, just me, mommy and daddy.

Mindy and Martin, the min pins!

I came across a very heartwrenching blog about two miniature pinschers attacked by another dog. Mindy and Martin were walking with their owner around their neighborhood when they were viciously attacked. Thankfully, they both both are alive but have quite a recovery ahead of them. Steeler was FOUND safe and sound!

Thank you to all those concerned about my dear friend Steeler. I am happy to report that Steeler was FOUND safe and sound in Texas a little ways from where he was last seen. Some nice women at a factory nearby were feeding him and finally were able to get him safe inside.

He is now home with his mommy and daddy in Florida! YAY! I love happy endings!

Missing Min Pin in Texas!

My friend Steeler from myspace is missing!! He and his family, who are originally from Florida, were on a trip to the Austin, Texas area. He was staying with his grandparents while his mom and dad went back to their hotel for something and got out of the house, which was an accident and no one's fault. He ran into the woods and his family looked all around for him. They posted flyers and called shelters. This happened on April 12, 2008.

His pawrents have since returned to Florida without their beloved Steeler. My furriends and I have been helping his mommy and daddy by getting the "bark" out there on Myspace, Dogster and now Blogger!

**UPDATE: April 17, 2008 - Steeler's pawrents received a call last night that he might have been found! They were sent a picture and his daddy will be getting a flight to Texas shortly to go out to pawsitively identify him! Please keep your paws crossed!!!! I'll keep you posted!

Happy ASPCA Day!

Hoppy Easter!

I hope you all had a very Happy and Blessed Easter! Sorry I'm a little late. Mommy got super busy with getting things together to take to Easter dinner. I would like to share the pictures mommy took of me for Easter. I was scheduled to meet the Easter Bunny but due to flooding pictures were cancelled. Mommy felt bad I didn't get to meet the Bunny so she took her own pictures of me with a "stand-in" bunny!
